Pete Just Launched a Great Little Show
Festival is a celebration of hope-filled ideas--and the people championing them
My friend Pete Davis has come up with a festive video podcast. That means it’s a celebration—because, as he says, that’s where everything new and good comes from.
Each episode of Festival is comprised of a Main Stage (where Pete and his guest talk about “schemas that could save the world”!) and a Side Show (a.k.a., the Realm of the Strange).
For the first episode, Pete offers a Main Stage conversation with Deborah Frieze, talking about the Two Loops Model (an amazing but simple mind map she co-developed) and its power to explain how promising emergent systems can replace failing dominant systems. (How soon can we start?)
The sideshow guest is Joshua Lengfelder, co-founder of Randonautica, a weird and wildly popular app that invites you to 1) think of a goal or wish and then 2) visit the app’s pick of a randomized, real-world location…and see what you find. (Turns out people find all sorts of bizarre—and very relevant—things.)
I’ll meet you at the celebration!
